Erik Bengtson Judging RCNZ North Island National Show 2nd June 2012

Dear Friends,

It is with the most sincere enthusiasm that I endorse ARBA Judge, Erik Bengtson, to be your honorable judge for your upcoming June show.  You are not likely to find a better or more dedicated individual in the United States to be an ARBA Ambassador.

I have known Erik since the fall of 1997, when he entered one Blue English Spot Sr. Buck at the ARBA Convention in Madison, WI.  He impressed me immediately with his extensive knowledge of the histories of rabbit breeds and the manner in how he educated exhibitors.  Since this meeting, he has always demonstrated the utmost professional attitude whether at shows or when I have visited him at his place of employment, where he held the position of Vice-President of Commercial Lending at a large bank.  Erik is also a devoted father of four and wonderful husband to his wife, Mandy.   

To say that Erik is a great asset to American Rabbit Breeders Association is an understatement.  His warm and inviting personality makes him the go-to guy for a majority of our new and also experienced breeders.  He is always ready with a smile and a helping hand.  He truly loves his role as a board member, exhibitor and judge and it shows.  We need more Erik Bengtsons in the rabbit world.  I am humbled to call him my mentor and truly blessed to have him as a dear friend.  I know you too will enjoy what he has to share during his stay. 

On a more personal note, I have been doing well since my trip.  I have attained a professional job as a Library Director at Sanford Brown College just outside of St. Louis, MO.  Luckily, we are experiencing a mild winter, thus my barn is just busting to the seams with youngsters and hopefully many winners too!  My mother, Jennifer, has recovered from her shoulder surgery and is anxiously awaiting the birth of my brother and sister-in-law’s set of twins.  They are due in May and I’m quite sure she will have her hands full with babysitting and making quilts.

I truly enjoyed my trip to your beautiful country and look forward to having the opportunity to do it again in the upcoming years.  I already know that this show will be a thriving success.  I sincerely wish everyone involved only the best and enjoy a fantastic 2012!
