It is going to be held at the Claudlands Events Centre again. It will be during the Waikato A&P Show which is over the 2 days. The organisers of this event wanted us there over the 2 days so that is why the Nationals will be held one day and the specialist clubs the following day

Only the RCNZ Nationals being held. The WRC are not holding a show like last year. So the Nationals arent being hosted by the same club as last year. Just happens to be in the same venue.

Hi At this stage the Lop Society, Netherland Dwarf, Enderby Island Specialist clubs have agreed to put on a show on the Sunday. I still have to get hold of the other clubs and will update when I do. Judges are not chosen at this stage. It is early days but do have to get it underway so everything can be put in place for a boomer two days. Pauline |

When the CCRFA confirmed they were holding the South Island Nationals for 2010, back in 2009 (August I think), a judge was appointed straight away. I fail to see why it should take so long to appoint a judge. Sometimes a person will only go to certain shows depending on who the judge is, and this can be a big factor for those travelling inter-island. |

Hi Sorry no news of a judge yet for the NI Nationals, possibly an overseas judge, waiting for conformation. That will be annonounced as soon as available. Hopefully within the next week.
Dave, and I am only commenting for myself. In all the times that I have and my passengers travelled (and my passengers book their seat long before a show is officially annonounced) to the SI to the Nationals and I think I have only missed a couple of Nationals in the south since the early 1980's have never used the excuse of I dont like that judge not to show. We learn so much from every show and I would hope that those that are able to travel north or south enjoy the knowledge and companionship that is gleaned from everyone. I know that I sure do. Pauline

thank you for the update pauline,
i am one of those ones that just enjoy the shows in a whole , for me to attend the nationals is a big thing espically with it being in hamilton, i am glad that this time i am able to attend last year it was just the rabbits, i am also only commenting for myself but i would rather attend a show no matter whom the judge is so that i can learn as much as i can , if i was "pot hunting " i think that is what its called i would only attend shows that are judged by judges that havent already given my rabbits CCs , i dont feel this is the right way to show an animal, to show an animal correctly you should endevour to attend the shows that you can afford to attend without taking into consideration the people attending or the person judging , this was how i was taught when i use to show dogs as many use to avoid judges , and this is how i have walked into showing rabbits, i ignore the name of the judge untill i have taken into account if i can show my animals, the only time i would choose a judge instead of a show was if it was the choice between a NZ judge and an overseas judge , i would have to be honest and say i would choose the overseas judge as it is nice to get an outsiders opinion on your rabbits.
looking forward to the show and waiting paitantly for the judge to be announced ,
take care all

What about an aussie judge Pauline? like Gen Hughes or leonie? just a thought
I go to shows no matter who is the judge i didnt realise some dont go depending on the judge? Each show i am learning new things
I definetly go to promote the breed but love to learn about the numerous other breeds out there. I am always learning new things every time i go to the show. Book stewarding at the last north shore show was a real learning curve on the various breeds and i was lucky enough to have Sitereh as the judge as i was very nervous!
It doesnt bother me about trophies or ccs its the breed that i am working on that matters. Breeding to the standard of any breed is very challenging and not at all easy at times

~.~ ##### ROFL ROFL FORL ####~.~ re Gen and leoney.
I do not see the poit in going to a show that you no the judge does not like tht breed or colour (as it is around) judges do have there favorit coulour and wil put them up over another colour (if both were of equil points)
also there are thoese people out there which i call "CC Hunters" and will travel to shows just because they want that judges scribble on a pice of papper (like Me ROFL) and then will not go to other show as they have had enuff of that judge as they have judjed soo many time befor and have got the same oppion on that rabbit..
