For those who are interested.

I did a bit of a count up of the cremes. What has been produced from the Willowbank line here in Christchurch. The live ones.

10 Adult bucks
8 Adult does
5 under 5 months buck
5 U/5 Doe
15 unsex kits

18 Adults (15 in the South Is.) (3 in the North Is.)
13 unsexed Kits(12 in the North Island)(3 south island)
5 U/5 Buck (South Is.)
43 total Cremes is not a lot at all.
---------------------------------------------

Known Creme Carrier: 11 Bucks (2 in North Island) (9 in South Island)
Known Creme Carrier: 15 Does (2 in North island)(13 in South Island)

The carriers have produced crème or had a crème parent. 26 Carriers.

I will have to keep this info for our newsletter now.

Hi Sarah, There is no real verification so to speak for the crèmes, other than I have laid my hands and eyes on all bar those 4 kits Roz has bred. In saying that I have handled and bred the creme parents of those 4 babies.
You would only be going on my personal recommendation. Not an official document.

Colour is pretty consistent in the lines produced from Willowbank here in Christchurch.
The only visual difference should be in the females, they seem to have more of the shading appearing on their face ears and points than the bucks.

Sitereh you have not counted "Blacknvar" in your count he has 5 cream carriers in his bloodlines and his Grand Dad is the first cream "Nathan" from out of your rabbitry. All of his off spring are true carriers too." Blacknvar " I believe is the only surviving Grand Son of Nathan.

I did count Blacknvar himself, I have no idea what he has produce but he was included. His progeny has to have produced creme to be true carriers, if he was mated to a black looking enderby.
The carriers I have counted have produced creme in one or more litters. I still have Blackenvar's dad here.

HI Sitereh
The doe of mine that is still at your place wasn't the creme carrier (unless its hidden, lol), but the doe I have here is the carrier, so not sure if you included her or not.
Wayne gave me the info the other day.

Sitereh, do you know if there are any remaining EI in Texas? I had a talk to Bob before he sadly passed away and he said he had no luck with them and they are no more. But I dont know if they all died or have been passed on to other breeders in America.
If they are all gone, then those you listed above are the remaining ones here IN THE WORLD, right?
Very low number....lets keep them going, they are such cool rabbits.

Hi Vivelly,
No cremes in Texas and the last of Bob's stock died the Christmas before he did.
There are Slate/Champagen over there somewhere and I will keep thinking that unless told different.

The long awaited litter has arrived.
I matched you Roz but couldn't raise the total.
4 cremes this morning. Both parents are creme.
She was due anytime after the 14th July. The buck took 4 days to get her.

No there are not any Enderby Island rabbits anywhere else in the world. We are not sure if they have survived in the US, so what we have here is it.... so if you wish to get into the breed and help with their survival, then good on you.
Where abouts are you situated. North or South Island?
